ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Cardinals have finalized deals to add starting pitchers Lance Lynn and Kyle Gibson. Cardinals lead executive John Mozeliak confirmed both Lynn and Gibson would join the team for the 2024 season via one-year deals during a Tuesday afternoon news conference.Lynn will make around $10 million this year. Gibson will make around $12 million. Both also have club options for 2025.Mozeliak acknowledged during a Tuesday news conference that both Lynn and Gibson wanted to join next year's St. Louis pitching staff, an important factor in the signings. KANSAS CITY, MO. -- Changes are coming to the bar exam to keep up with the ever-changing lawyer profession. It's one of the largest changes in the history of the bar exam. Judge Cindy Martin with the Missouri Western District Court of Appeals chaired the task force of the three-year research project. She said this NextGen Bar Exam puts a greater emphasis on skills for lawyers. "It's really exciting to think of a licensure exam that adds the component of integration that feels like the real-world practice of law; that piece will be new," Martin said in an exclusive interview with Missouri Chief Capitol Bureau Reporter Emily Manley.At the end of law school, the bar exam is the final hurdle towards becoming a licensed attorney. The Interstate 70 mountain Express Lanes will open for longer hours around Thanksgiving and Christmas to accommodate the expected busy holiday travel.Gov. The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health’s Veterinary Public Health Program is investigating multiple reports of Atypical Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease that have been found in dogs in the Los Angeles County area, officials announced Tuesday.Symptoms of the illness include cough, nasal discharge, sneezing and lack of energy in dogs.“Currently, Public Health is in case-finding mode to determine if and to what extent there is a new respiratory illness impacting dogs in Los Angeles County. 68-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near Siskiyou AvenueFRESNO, CA (November 21, 2023) – Nadine Rodriguez died early Thursday in a pedestrian crash on Highway 180 near Siskiyou Avenue.
