GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Dice, figures, and boards full of adventure - all in downtown Glens Falls. The 6th annual Adirondacon Tabletop Gaming Convention comes to the Charles R. The annual tabletop and board game festival comes to Glens Falls from Saturday to Sunday, Sept. 30 - Oct. 1. The festival offers a library of over 500 board and tabletop games for free play after the price of admission. Visitors can try out games on their own or enjoy guided sessions, including kid- and family-friendly games guided by the Crandall Public Library teen center.Every year, it takes a lot of players to put on the show. GREEN ISLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On August 26, two anglers were ticketed for possessing undersized blue claw crabs. ECO Bevis noticed the anglers during a late-night patrol using a net to catch the crabs in a restricted area of the Hudson River. ECO Bevis also discovered that the registration on the vehicle the anglers used was suspended. The two were issued tickets for trespassing, fishing without a license, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and possessing undersized blue claw crabs.The tickets are returnable to the Town of Green Island Court. GLENVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Glenville Police Department responded to a bridge strike at Maple Avenue on Thursday morning. Police located a 2019 Freightliner with the entire roof torn off. The driver, Kawon Jones, 31, of Hephzibah, Georgia, told police he was attempting to travel to Vermont and was following his GPS. Police conducted a full DOT inspection and issued 9 tickets for violations. Jones was cited for failure to obey a traffic device and the Glenville Town Code violation for disobeying an overweight warning. GLENVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Glenridge Road bridge has been struck again. According to the Glenville Police Department, a 2018 Kenworth delivery truck hit the bridge on Wednesday afternoon. The driver, Daiquane Sivels, 30, of Schenectady, told police that he did not see the flashing lights from the warning system. He also claims he did not know the height of the vehicle and that he was following his GPS.Sivels was charged with operating with a suspended license, failure to obey a traffic control device, and Glenville Town Code for disobeying an overheight warning. TROY, Ill. – Police in Troy, Illinois, are investigating a homicide involving a 60-year-old woman. The victim was identified as Norma Caraker Thursday.Police were asked to perform a wellness check around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday at a residence in the 600 block of Lower Marine Road and discovered the victim's body. The woman had injuries inconsistent with a natural death."I've been in Troy for over 20 years, and I've never known anything like this to happen," said Sarah Meyer.No charges have been filed. JEFFERSON COUNTY -- Missouri State Highway Patrol was called onto the scene for a fatal hit-and-run at northbound Missouri Route B., south of Simpson Hill Drive, on September 13 around 6:35 p.m. Girl’s path to school: speeding cars, sex offenders, dangerous crosswalk A 2009 Ford Fusion was traveling northbound on Route B, and Ann A. Radeackar, 69, was driving her 2012 Mini Cooper Clubman southbound on Route B. Radeackar attempted to turn into a private driveway and cut into the path of the Ford Fusion. ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Lambert International Airport has officially purchased five electric shuttle buses, and airport officials could roll them out later this year. The buses are Lightning ZEV4™ models from Lightning eMotors, which specializes in zero-emission, mid-sized commercial vehicles. Regis University in Denver was under lockdown for a short time Thursday morning as police searched for a homicide suspect.Those on campus had been asked to shelter in place and get to a safe location.The homicide occurred at West 50th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, but 14 minutes after Regis posted the lockdown alert on social media, the university announced that the suspect was arrested at 55th Avenue and Lowell Boulevard.The lockdown was lifted, and the university said police believe there is no longer a danger associated with the incident.UPDATE: Denver Police has confirmed that the suspect in the homicide at 50th and Federal has been arrested at 55th and Lowell.
